About these terms

These terms govern your use of pottsvilleacupuncture.com.au and the services provided by Pottsville Acupuncture (operated by Dr Mal McKay, AHPRA-registered, ABN: TBC). By using this site or booking an appointment, you agree to these terms.

The content on this website is for general informational purposes only and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your GP, specialist, or other qualified health practitioner with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Pottsville Acupuncture supports the body's own capacity to heal alongside conventional medical care; we do not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any specific medical condition.

Bookings, cancellations, and fees

• Bookings are made via the Halaxy booking system or by contacting the clinic directly. A booking confirmation will be sent to you.
• Fees are listed on the Services page and are payable at the time of consultation. We accept HICAPS for eligible health funds; you pay only the gap.
• Cancellations require at least 24 hours' notice. Late cancellations and no-shows may incur a fee, as the time can rarely be filled at short notice.
• Concession rates are available to Pensioner / Health Care / Defence / Centrelink card holders; please bring your card to your first appointment.

Health fund and third-party claims

We process HICAPS claims on the spot for participating health funds. Coverage levels vary by fund and policy — please confirm your coverage with your fund directly. We are also a registered provider for NDIS (via plan manager or doctor referral), Work Cover (via GP referral), and Motor Vehicle / Injury Insurance (via GP referral).

AHPRA and TGA compliance

Pottsville Acupuncture operates in accordance with AHPRA and the Chinese Medicine Board of Australia guidelines. We do not make therapeutic claims outside what is permitted under AHPRA and Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) advertising regulations. Patient testimonials are published with explicit consent and are framed in symptom-led language.

Intellectual property

All content on this site — text, images, logos, design elements — is the intellectual property of Pottsville Acupuncture or used with permission. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or use this content for commercial purposes without written consent.

Third-party links and embeds

This site embeds the Halaxy booking widget and Google Maps. Use of those services is subject to their respective terms.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Pottsville Acupuncture is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss or damage arising from your use of this website. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Australian consumer law that cannot be excluded.

We may update these terms from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
